This week we are proud to introduce an all-new feature set in Glow – optimistically named Glow Genius (which you can find on the top right corner of your app). We created it with just one purpose in mind: to give you greater control over your own fertility and reproductive health.

Since our launch a little over a month ago, we have taken every opportunity to listen to our users. Our small yet dedicated team spent hours reading and responding to your insights and suggestions. And they were fantastic: perceptive, genuine and incredibly useful in helping us craft the future of Glow. From your feedback, we’ve developed four new features:

INSIGHTS

The greatest control comes from increased knowledge, which is why we created the Insights Center. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make the right decisions for you. This crucial component of Glow Genius will bring daily fertility-related facts personalized to you. With every log and completed task, you will see new information on how your actions have affected your quest to conceive. These insights will always be backed by the latest medical research – research that you yourself can access with the tap of a link.

CHARTS

We’ve also created new charts that let you track your own cervical mucus (CM) and basal body temperature (BBT). Now with a tap you can easily cycle through a BBT chart, a CM chart, and then a chart that combines both. We worked hard to make them both elegant and intuitive, where tilting the screen shows the charts in horizontal format, and pinching the screen displays the data in the time increment of your choice.

REMINDERS

In the Reminders Center, you can set reminders to take your CM and BBT measurements at a time of your choosing. You can also customize it and set special reminders for yourself, such as when to get cozy with your partner or when to restock on your prenatal vitamins.

ACTIVITY

In the Activity Center, you’ll be able to track your activity level from Glow Genius (by week, month, and year). This is especially helpful for Glow First users looking to stay at a certain activity level.
And of course, you will still have access to the Notifications Center, with its important updates and announcements.

Our ultimate hope is that you use Glow Genius to help further your education on your path to pregnancy. There are a multitude of conditions that can affect a couple’s fertility and we hope to notify you if you (or your partner) are displaying any signs that warrant a conversation with a doctor. We have several team members here at Glow, members with PCOS and endometriosis, who spent many months trying to get pregnant naturally before they realized they needed medical intervention. We built Glow Genius hoping we can prevent some of this heartache and wasted time for others in their quest to conceive.

GLOW TOGETHER

Alongside Glow Genius, we would also like our users to know about our newly built forum: Glow Together (https://together.glowing.com). This forum is meant to be a safe place for our users to connect and share their hopes and insights. We hope that it will soon become the premier destination for those couples seeking knowledge, support, and encouragement on this wondrous journey.
