Plain yogurt is a fantastic way to start the day with protein and calcium. Try flavoring with fresh fruit or nuts.
Yogurt may just be the perfect breakfast food. It's tasty, nutritious, and goes with just about anything. Mix it with fruit, top it with granola, or throw some into a smoothie. The choices are endless.
Not only that, yogurt has recently been shown to lower risk of Type 2 Diabetes in several large-scale human studies. While the greatest risk reduction has been shown in individuals who average about 6 ounces per day, even 3 ounces per day can have an effect.
