Hi 👋🏼! So I am 28 almost 29 weeks pregnant with my second baby boy. My first son is 18.5 months old now. He was born via C-Section without any real labor at 37 weeks & 4 days. I had sudden onset severe preeclampsia the day before, & long/detailed story shortened; he basically went into distress the following morning when they started the initial test dose of pitocin, soooooo...emergency cesarean!

This time around I am DETERMINED to have a VBAC barring any life-threatening complications that cannot be treated otherwise!!!!!! One of my OBGYNs tried at my 27 week appointment to schedule a 41 week repeat cesarean “just in case...”; I REFUSED!!!

My first C-Section was emotionally traumatic for me & I had a difficult recovery that almost completely incapacitated me for over a month postpartum!

I switched OBGYN offices & hospitals due to the VBAC “ban” at the one I had my first child at; was hoping to have more support here! Maybe it’s just this specific doctor?? I could request to see the midwife for the remainder of my pregnancy after this 29 week appointment with the doctor 🤞🏼🙂🤞🏼. Maybe that would help?? I could really use some support on here! I haven’t been very active on any of my pregnancy apps this pregnancy until now, since I’m so busy with my toddler and work & being so prego tired lol! (With my first pregnancy I was obsessed with all 12 of my apps HAHA bc of the spare time I didn’t know I had before my son was born LOL 😆!)

I am enrolled in a $200 VBAC Facts Academy online course that I am working through, I am an ICAN member, and am going to take the online LAMAZE VBAC class very soon, (in addition to my Hospital’s regular Labor & Delivery class on site.). I am enlisting all the help I can get short of changing healthcare providers (too much to deal with in switching I think!)! Please; any suggestions/advice/encouragement is very welcome!
