Let’s see your fur babies!

Everyone meet Boop! She has been my partner in crime for alittle over a year. She has gotten me through a massive depression after finding out my husband cheating on me with one of his co workers( those damn co-workers, am I right??) and having a miscarriage. She LOVES to love, open doors when you close them( according to her.. all doors must be open.. even when you’re going to the bathroom), she loves flowers, people, cuddling in your lap, babies, bath time car rides!etc. She has been the best thing that ever happened to me. She was a rescue. After 20second (no joke!) of being with her, I took her home that day! I most definitely didn’t choose her, but she chose me. For me, it’s like she was my guardian angel who was met me for.

2 new cats, my girl is attacking my boy

Ladies please help me!My boyfriend moved in with his two cats. They are chilled and happy. Mine are hissing at each other. The girl attacking the boy. Never before, they groomed each other and loved each other. I am trying not to stress so they don’t sense it. I was told to separate them for 24-48 hours, but I only have a bathroom. The girl is in the bathroom, but I feel guilty. I have gone and spent time with her, them out with the boy. Help! Is this right? I cantlet their confusion turn into anger towards each other.

Cats are very territorial. Having a separate safe place for them to go would make them feel more comfortable. You could also try a multi cat feliway diffuser. They’re cheapest on chewy.com. It mimics pheromones cats release when they’re calm and helps them reduce stress and anxiety. If the male isn’t neutered then that can cause him to be aggressive. Cats communicate mostly through scents, so you can also try rubbing towels or a shirt on both of the cats and put those items in the spaces they spend most of their time. Sometimes the new cat smell can freak cats out and cause stress which leads to fights so getting them used to each other’s smell can help them get used to one another. It’s hard to introduce cats so it’s best to be patient. I hope everything works out and wish the best for you and the kitties!

My black kitty loves to snuggle too 💖

Annoyed with how husband treats cat

Ladies, I need your help. My husband is starting to really aggravate me in regards to how he treats my cat. He doesn’t abuse him as in kick him, hit him, or anything like that but for example if my kitty goes to the bathroom, then grooms himself (his bum) my husband will make a noise to scare him and get him to stop. I don’t like to see my baby’s face scared like that. Also, if he runs outside if the front door is open, and I say it’s okay to let him go out, my husband will run after him and literally try to ‘prove his dominance’ against my cat.. as in stomp his foot down beside him and make a loud noise to scare him or something like that. Also, when my cat brings back prey for us, my husband will get extremely upset with him saying it’s not normal for cats to do something like that and will try to punish him for it (I don’t allow my husband to punish him as I know it’s normal for cats to do that) and I’ve explained THOUSANDS OF TIMES that behaviour like that is normal. There’s other stuff as well but those are just some of the things. I’m really getting done at this point. Seriously, you mess with my baby then you mess with me. I just don’t know how to make my husband realize what he’s doing is wrong. I’ve tried talking to him calmly when everything is good between the two of us, I’ve gotten angry and into fights over this. It’s really irritating me and clearly he won’t change his ways. Obviously this isn’t anything to separate over, but I’m wondering if any ladies have any suggestions as to what I could do. I’m so over this crap. **yes, I call my cat my baby lol.

Okay yeah I feel extremely bad for your cat. Abuse is abuse.Poor baby will be traumatized and constantly look over their shoulder in fear. You’re husband is wrong af. 😡That isn’t love. All he is proving to your baby is that he’s a major dick and to not trust humans. 🤷🏻‍♀️😕Cats definitely don’t live as long as we do so.... it’s very important to give them the happiest life they can live. you should definitely consider re homing it. I couldn’t imagine my four fur babies living a life like this...I hope everything works out in the end with your SO and your cat.

Weird meows

Does anyone’s cats sometimes/randomly meow deeper? Like sometimes it’s high pitched and then sometimes they have a Barry White meow. But he seems fine, eating and drinking and playing normally. I just didnt know if anyone else’s cats did this or not

Yes, but only when he's hungry at like 2:00 AM 🙃 he'll normally have a toy in his mouth and will be meowing like crazy.

Is it normal for a cat to shed after having a bath?

Yes. I found they shed more after a bath. I used to bath my cats to help with my allergies.

Mine passed away, he lived a good 18 years. Miss my angel kitty.

Rest in peace, my beautiful girl

I'm heartbroken. I can literally feel my heart breaking. Shes 18, I've had her since she was 6 weeks old and I was 6 years old. Shes been my only constant for 18 years. Moving, breakups, broken homes, a marriage and a divorce. I'm terrified to lose her but I know its coming. The vet said she more than likely has dementia. Shes still my baby but sometimes shes..different. she wanders and stares at walls. Sometimes shes distant and other times she wants to be near me. I've noticed in the last week shes losing control of her back legs. Every now and then she falls over a little or just cant stand anymore. I had to pick her up out of the litterbox this morning because she was just laying there confused. Shes had hyperthyroidism since she was 13 and outlived her expectancies for that. She has kidney disease and a heart murmur from age. I've always planned to have her cremated and know where I would like to have it done. I'm afraid I may have to start looking at options. I know cats just hang on for so long and I dont want her suffering because i want to be selfish and keep my baby a little longer. When is it appropriate to start looking at options? I dont want to feel like I did it too soon and have regrets. I'm still hoping she'll get better but I know once they start losing control there isn't really anything to come back from. I'm also tired of giving her the pills for her thyroid because its scaring her (from the dementia) and she fights against me. I dont want to hurt her, I feel like its torturing her. Please be gentle with your responses I'm a wreck right now. I haven't talked with the vet yet but will be soon. She was due for a thyroid level check and I'm just trying to wrap my head around everythingToday, January 27th, I laid my baby to rest. She went peacefully and i was there with her to the end. I took her to a funeral home that also specializes in pet cremations and will have her little urn with me in about a week. So often we take our pets for granted. But tonight I'm realizing I'll never hear her sweet purr again. My whole life shes been here, I dont know how to live without her. Hug your fur babies tonight for me. My little girl is gone from this earth and I dont think I'll ever be the same. 18 years of wonderful memories, stinky litterboxes and tuna kisses. I'll never forget any of them and I'm so grateful to have had the time that I had with her. My feisty, vibrant little girl, mommy misses you more than you know. I would give anything to hold you in my arms again, but I will hold you in my heart forever. I hope you knew I was there with you at the end and I hope you know that I will love you always.

Does the loss ever get better guys? Shes been gone since Monday and I've cried every single day. I have another cat here but it still feels so ...empty. my heart just feels like it's never going to heal. I put 18 years of life into my baby and now shes gone and I just feel so lost. I keep thinking I'm going to see her on the couch one more time when I get home from work and then it's like a little more of my heart breaks when I realize it's never going to happen again. I've never felt loss this deep before.

Help Cat Flu!?!

My flatmate has just brought in a cat that has cat flu. We have 2 healthy vaccinated cats already. What's the chances of them getting sick aswell. Is it unsafe to have him here with them???

Keep the cats seperated until the sick one is better, take it to the vet if you have to. Just remember thats cats will eat and drink from the same bowls and play with the same toys. Its super easy for them to infect one another. Its as simple as touching the sick cat, forgetting to wash your hands, and touching the healthy cats. Your best bet is medicine and quarantine
