Came back to this group because of the exact same reason. My girl is still not walking! From all that I’ve researched we don’t need to worry but it’s hard not to.

Teething fever!

Is it possible for a baby to have a low grade fever until teeth erupt? She’s had an on / off fever now for a week with what I think are her teeth! She doesn’t have any other symptom really so I’m thinking it is defo her teeth! Fever can range from 37.8-38.4?? Some days it’s there other days it’s gone! I know she is teething like mad too

Both of our girls have presented low grade fevers when teething. I believe it’s a symptom of teething.

Baby under eye is red

Has anyone experienced this? My 1 year old seems to always be red under her right eye. Sorry for the pic she’s constantly moving.

Did she consistently rub it? Maybe an allergy?

My boy turned one on 25th of Nov 2021

Soy allergy?

I'm very suspicious that my daughter (1 years old) might be allergic to soy milk. On the 1st we began weaning her from milk by adding an ounce more of soy milk into her formula each day until it completely eliminated her formula. We finally were completely off formula by the 5th. On the 6st the baby sitter had called me at work letting me know my daughter wasn't being herself. She seemed to be sick to the baby sitter. She was laying around, crying more, wanting to be held, sleeping every 2 hours (she only takes 1-2 naps each day), everytime pressure was put on her belly she would cry. My initial thought was maybe she was constipated but the baby sitter reassured me she was normal with her bowl movements besides them being WAY MORE smelly (which now I noticed) on the 6st I noticed a small rash. I dismissed it until yesterday when she was increasgly getting more cranky and her rash had went all over her. (They are tiny dots all over her with some clustered together). I took her to the pediatrician and they did a viral panel which came back all negative. I noticed last night she was excessively gassy which smelt worse than ever (sorry gross), she was burping a lot, miserable, eveeytime she'd put pressure on her belly shed cry our, her rash is getting worse, and she's incredibly restless in her sleep and her cheeks are rosey red. Other than the symptoms lister above I haven't noticed any other signs of illness like a cough or anything. Any other mommas have issues with soy? Could this be it?

🤰

This could be several things. 1. I've never heard of weaning a baby that fast from formula though not sure if you weaned her too fast or what. The smelly, farts and poops could 100% be the change in liquids as her body hasn't adjusted yet. Totally normal and it should resolve itself as her body figures out what to do with it. Also the rash could totally unrelated, heat rash, from 1 year vaccines (my son didn't get a rash until 2-3weeks after his shots which is normal) I would keep an eye on it but if dr isn't worried I wouldn't stress too much maybe provide more water than milk?

Dairy & Eczema

Has anyone else noticed any relation between eczema and dairy intake with their little one? I took my boy off regular whole milk because as we transitioned his face broke out horribly and would get more red when he had his bottles. He drinks Lactaid now so I’m thinking it was a lactose sensitivity but he doesn’t have this issue with anything else like yogurt and cheese.

Yes 2 of my kids had severe eczema and one of my doctors had told me to eliminate dairy. Even if I ate dairy while nursing them, they would break out. I have eliminated dairy and we don’t even need the use of lotion

Should we go for #3? Tips? Experiences?

We had agreed upon 3 kids for years but now my husband says he’s content with our boy and girl. My heart still wants 3. But my mind sees his point of view at times of getting more time in our lives back as the kids get bigger with more independence it would start things over again. But our kids are 3 and 1 and I don’t want to wait for a large gap and I also don’t want to wait until I am older. The 3rd would end up having to share a room with a sibling which I don’t think is a big deal but my husband said it will cause issues. We both see each others point of view and are not planning on trying (if we do) for a bit longer. Curious other people’s experiences or advice? I also hear from family that odd numbers makes it harder and there is always an odd man out or the dreaded “middle child” syndrome. I love being a mom and would love to love on 1 more baby in my life but also would be content with my 2 beautiful babies.

I have 3 girls. Ages four, three, and 13 months. I say go for it. The only thing is, now that I have three I would like another to even it out. I don’t like the idea of the “middle “ child. So long story short YES. Mentally for me transition to 3 was much easier than 2.

So I know I'm a little late to the party. But my beautiful girl turned a year old on Nov 17th! And it's been a great journey this year ❤️ I can't wait to see what the rest of these years bring us ❤️❤️❤️

Those big beautiful eyes 😍

No bottles

Unless his ppl been giving her a bottle my little woman has not been on the bottle for about 3 weeks. Sippy cups are life! I hid all of the bottles from her dad 😂😂😂 fuss him out and all but I have reached my goal! Yay me!! Now to be consistent on potty training and I will feel like I really accomplish something.

Hey Emily, the system would not allow me to show the pictures through reply but these are the ones that work for Naomi. When she was still on the bottle she saw we was drinking from straws and use to snatch our straws from us but the picture below are the ones we are using:But we also uses these which she loves too.

Hair help

If your baby has a lot of hair, what do you use to contain it all? My daughter pulls everything out, so I don’t want to use the little hair ties because I’m afraid she’ll try to swallow them.

I'm not sure but try some diaper rash cream. If they don't help/it doesn't clear up after a few days, take her in. I can't remember if it looked the same but my daughter ended up with a staph infection on her legs and bum that didn't go away after a few days of trying diaper rash cream.

Walking

My little boy walked properly today for the first time can’t believe it what a milestone so happy for him 🥰

Bottle Weaning

If you have or are in the process of bottle weaning, what sippy cup(s) are you using? Bonus if it is dishwasher safe!I just tried a brand new Munchkin weighted straw cup with whole milk since my little is used to that sippy for water and I'm not sure if it's a bad sippy or if milk just shouldn't be put in it, but she drank a little from it and then stopped so I tried and I had to suck super hard to get any out! Her water sippy, while very used, isn't nearly that hard to suck out of.

Awww my daughter turned 1 November 5th and wore that exact same skirt 💕

Clingyness

My baby boy is very clingy. He’s 1! We have a regular routine each week. Home, family house, church so he sees the same faces regularly but he clings to me so much. He wont go far from me. He barely lets anyone but my mom hold him. His dad isn’t in his life but I’ve noticed he’s not fond of men. It’s hard to get things done or even try to leave him with anyone because he CRIES bad like screaming & everything. Idk what to do.

Literally logged on for this topic to see if anyone was going through this. It just started with my 1 year old. We’re going through full Blown tantrums when I put him down. It’s terrible!!i hop this passes and I’m not worsening it. I try to not pick him up when he gets like this but he SCREAMSSSSSS for what seemsLike forever. We can’t go through this. I broke down tonight and we sat on the floor crying together. Absolutely horrible.

Daniel turns 1 November 29th 🎉

As a first time mom it's such a bittersweet moment my little blue eyed boy turns one tomorrow it feels just like yesterday I was being induced waiting on his arrival it just amazes me how smart he's become he knows about 15 words like slow down baby boy mama isn't ready for this but I definitely can't wait to see what he does to leave his mark on this world 💕

Sleeping through the night

I feel like the closer we get to all night sleeping the further away we are. My girl is one now and STILL wakes up through the night. Mostly refuses to sleep again without a feed. She is tiny for her age but o don’t think so tiny she needs to eat!Are any of your babes still waking up through the night? How often? I am out of ideas and TIRED

So happy to hear that I’m not the only one struggling with night wakings with my 13mo. He wakes up 1-2 times a night. Sometimes to feed. Sometimes just to be rocked back. He definitely does not know how to put himself to sleep. I’m too nervous to use the CIO method. He is way too aware now.

This was my boy scan it’s looks nothing like my 2nd baby scan
