Hi mums, so my baby is 15 months and he only eats food that is blended.. is this totally normal or I'm doing something wrong...I try to give him fried eggs and bread but he just spits it out . I am really concerned

He probably needs to work on his chewing skills. Try giving him a resistive food along with the purée (mango pit, chicken leg with most of the meat torn off, pinapple core) to help him understand how to chew food so that he can feel comfortable swallowing instead of spitting. At this age they should be moving closer to table foods like the rest of the family. I recomend solidstarts website/ig/app as they discuss this topic often!

Little guy says a lot of words but not very clearly. Upstairs, outside, eat, ball, daddy (rarely ever calls for me 😭), diaper is "die", bubble, and the newest is yes and up. Another toddler I know says his words super clear, but he has an older brother. Babies all talk at their own pace, so I wouldn't be too worried. You can always get a second opinion if you want, but our babies are pandemic babies, so there was way less interaction for them to have learned from. I constantly talk to my baby since we're always together and I'm fortunate to be able to work from home part time. It's the same with babies with older siblings since they're going to learn a lot faster than if they're the only child or not interacting with older kids.

I weaned about 3 weeks ago, he just took the pacifier and didn't even complain haha I am extremely happy that I made it this long, but was ready for my body to be mine again. Enjoy the time together, it passes so quickly ((:

Inconsolable little dude

My poor guy is cutting at least six teeth right now, has had a runny nose for a couple of days and got two shots at the doctor today. He’s been sobbing unlike anything I’ve heard him do off and on since. He wouldn’t sleep so we checked his temp and it was 102. Gave him ibuprofen and it has come down but he will not stop crying. He sleeps for a few minutes and then wakes up sobbing again. Any advice? I’m getting worried about him.

Honestly just keep up on the meds as much as you can. We alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hours when our little one has a fever just to break it and keep it gone. Luke warm bath will help with fever as well and maybe his mood if he enjoys baths. Cuddle, singing, books etc tend to help my little one calm down. It’s so sad seeing them like that but they will be okay :)

Teething 🥹

My bub is cutting 8 teeth right now, his first molars and his incisors top and bottom. Ugh teething is so rough guys! Anyone else’s babe going through a nasty teething spell?! I just want to sleep again 😔

Yep! My daughter has both her bottom molars now and they cut at the same time. She has 12 teeth now. Poor bubbas, teething sucks!

Naps 1 or 2

How many naps does your little one take?

I had to transition to one nap around 11/12 months because it was driving me crazy. Baby's second nap was bringing him to a bedtime anywhere between 9 to 12, so it was time! I just hope the one nap will stay for a long while for my sanity 😅

My daughter's first birthday...june 10th 2022

These pics should have been posted awhile back ..but been so busy.

Venting session

Hi mamas, just need to vent for a sec. So we have been super blessed with our first two boys, 2- almost 3 year old and 1 year old in June. We love how close our boys are and we really thought we wanted them close like 22 months apart would be ideal. It’s been 5 months of trying and so far nothing. I know many women have it so much harder, but with our other 2 it was right away. I guess I’m just sad and scared this will be it for us because you always see the worst.

We were unofficially trying since I got my period back around 5 months. I got pregnant at 9 months PP but lost that pregnancy, got pregnant again a month later and lost that one as well, got pregnant right away and immediately lost that one. I'm currently pregnant for the fourth time this year, amd this time I'll have made it to 9 weeks tomorrow. The other three were chemicals, so I'm hoping this is the one. I've been completely broken by these last 6 months that I can't even enjoy this pregnancy or get excited. Everything makes me worry and "just know" it's over. I know that if I was in your shoes I would be breaking as well. It's definitely not the journey I wanted or even expected, but we'll hold babies in our arms eventually (statically speaking)!

Faint line

Ok y’all, tell me I’m not crazy 🙃 I’m on cycle day 33 and I typically have a 28 day cycle. Decided to test this morning and swear I see a superrrrr faint line. This will be my third and my other 2 were BFPs straight away, so I’ve never had to guess with faint lines before.

No walking here either! And girlfriend is getting heavy!! 😅

Throwing up

Does anyone else’s child make themselves throw up? 1 year old keeps shoving his fingers down his throat till he throws up. Not sure how to put a stop to it. At first it was just a little bit like spit up. But now he is full on throwing up because of it. It’s more than once a day…I’m tired of smelling the throw up 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Yes! Except not nearly as often as you’re little one. I noticed that if I draw attention to it, he does it more. So I try to distract and that works well. It’s developmentally normal. But highly annoying!

Okay So this is unexpected!

I guess I am going to be a mommy of 2 soon exactly 2 years apart 😍

No idea love, what are those?

14 month old still only poops 1x a week

At his 12mo chk up the doc said it can be normal for some babies as long as he's not in pain. Well throughout the week he is fine. It's when he actually goes that he cries/whines. He drinks plenty of water and eats all the things that are supposed to help. I feel like pooping is traumatic experience for him. 😔

Have they checked if it’s the milk? Most kids that were constipated where I used to work at, usually when they stoped consuming dairy the constipation got better.

First to tell

You guys are the first to tell. But just took a test and found out I’m pregnant. Bub and this little bean will be 22 months apart. Baby #3 coming in April. My birthday month 🥰

Lots of children walk anytime between 12-18 months. And that’s okay!

Nothing is working !!!

My LO is such a terrible sleeper. He has like separation anxiety or something at night. Idk he constantly wakes up and wants to be rocked back to sleep. As soon as you place him down in the crib he hysterically cries. Anyone else in the same boat? Or were you in the same boat and now your LO sleeps decent? Any advice etc.
