Hi moms!

Don’t know if it’s only my LO but OMG he is SO complicated right now.

A short list of the issues we have :

- sleeps through the night but wakes up crying 4/5 times per night

- doesn’t want a change of diaper when he wakes up (would like to keep his night diaper until after breakfast which is a big NO for me so cries and cries and cries as soon as he is out of his crib)

- constantly whines (doesn’t talk yet and we speak 2 languages home)

- has some favorite toys he constantly wants to keep, even to sleep or go to daycare so we have to fight all the time to get him to leave them home

- cries as soon as we are not watching him play, or if we are more than 3 meters away from him

- considers his dad as a savior (I am the « bad cop » : I change most diapers, clean his face and teeth, am the one who really tries to explain discipline… even though I play with him all the time and (i believe) am extremely fun, as soon as daddy is home he only wants him and litterally jumps from my arms to his arms, same when we are doing something he doesn’t like like cleaning his face, if he sees daddy he will cry until his savior takes him away from the bathroom… drives me crazy and makes me really sad)

- won’t do anything alone (I know he is only 17mo but still)

- he is also constipated all the time (poor baby) so it may be a reason why he is fussy a lot. We give him miralax but I don’t like giving him that all the time even though I don’t really have a choice. He eats tons of fruits but doesn’t help.

So are you going through the same things?

How do/did you manage this behavior?

He is still a baby and I don’t know how to react when for exemple he cries because he doesn’t want me to brush his teeth or change his diaper. I try to explain calmly but honestly he cries so loud I can’t even her myself so I doubt he can hear anything I say 😅
