This is just one, just ONE example out of all the many many times I've prayed and have received a miracle, or what I thought was a miracle at the time.

So I was praying that my children, especially my 8 year old son at the time would gain a strong testimony about the importance of prayer. I had been hoping and praying he would gain that testimony.

Then one evening we decided to go to Sonic to get the kids some ice cream so we all went out for ice cream!

My husband had turned the car off, but the radio was on... he forgot to turn the car all the way off. We finally realized, "Oh snap! The cars been off this whole time, but we left the radio on!" It typically runs the battery down.

My husband tried to start the car, but it wouldn't start. After trying to start the car several times with no luck... we started thinking about who we could call that late in the evening to give us a jump.

A few minutes later, my 8 year old son said, "Try starting it one more time." We told him, "It's no use son, the battery's down, I'm afraid it's not going to start." But he kept insisting that we tried starting it one more time, saying, "Please Dad, just try it one more time. You have to try it one more time."

So finally, his Dad was like, "Okay, I'll try it one more time, but I already know that it's not going to start without a jump." So he tried starting it one more time and surprisingly, it started!!

My son was so ecstatic! He started saying, "It worked!" I said, "What worked sweetie?" He said, "I prayed Mom! I prayed that Heavenly Father would give us a miracle and that he would let our car start so we could go home! And He helped us Mom! Heavenly Father helped us!"

So, I had been praying for my son to gain a testimony about the power of prayer, and when our car wouldn't start, he took it upon himself to pray, and he gained a testimony of it. I should have known! Or remembered!! Everything happens for a reason and the car not starting turned out to be an answer to my prayer as well, because it helped my son gain that testimony so I'm very grateful for that!

But that's just one of many many many examples! There's been so many times that I've prayed for answers, or help, or guidance and I feel like those prayers were received and answered, maybe not always in the way we had in mind, but one way or another, they were!
