How long before ttc to stop taking the pill?

How long should I stop taking the contraceptive pill before ttc? I've been on it for 7 years, thanks :)

If you want to know your cycle to track properly then come off the pill and use condoms for 6-12 months. Don't come off the pill thinking it definitely won't happen straight away because it could do. I came off it and was advised it may take 6-12 months to conceive as I had been on it 10 years but it only took 6 weeks for my first real period then I got pregnant straight away after that :)) xx

I was on the pill for about 8 years. I stopped taking mid October 2015 and got my first BFP March 4th 2016!

Or is it better to come off the pill a year before so I can track my cycle naturally so I have a better chance off falling pregnant first time? As at the moment I have no idea what my natural cycle is?
