Yep. My best friend a couple years ago was so consumed in herself that when I was going through some really hard bad stuff and needed someone to lean on and listen to me  she couldn't be bothered. She'd ask me what's going on and I'd pour my heart out and rehash some really bad feelings under the impression she would offer solace and help me but she wouldn't even acknowledge it. She'd be like "oh... Well this and this happened to me and today my boyfriend said this" finally I said something to her about it and it wasn't a "I'm sorry I didn't mean to" it was "sorry you feel that way". Not a real apology. So I cute ties, and I don't regret it. Friendship is a two way street.
