Stats show that the poorest class play the lottery most. The lowest FIFTH (20%) socioeconomic class plays 61% of the lottery. And those making only $13,000 a year spend 9% of their income on lottery tickets...9%!!! That's almost $1,200! What are your thoughts? Why are the poor so drawn to throw their money away? I admit I've bought roughly 5 tickets in my life time just for fun. It seems like such a waste of money to me. Imagine how much better off those people would be if they put that 9% in a bank account or retirement account?
