My 24 lb jagdterrier attacked my son and I tonight. I have no idea what brought it on but I was holding 4 year old my son after bath time and he lost it. Lunging and biting and barking after I got bit I put my son down behind me to try to get a handle on the dog and after a few minutes I was able to grab him by his neck fur and throw him out of the room. And on top of it I called my hubby (who is at work) crying because I was scared and he and his co workers laughed and thought it was hilarious I was attacked by a "small dog." How is this funny?! Any dog attack is scary especially when you are trying to protect your child and you are getting bit! Please any advice on this? I don't want to have to get rid of him but I can't put my babies at risk of a temperamental dog. Can we train it out of him? Should we get him fixed? I'm desperate here.
