How soon after giving birth can you conceive?

My co-worker has a boy and a girl born literally within 9 months of each other. I don't know if the second baby just came early, but is it really possible to conceive the month you gave birth? Even if her child did come early, I'm still curious.

I gave birth to stillborn twins at 25w1d ,  didn't bleed very long after and was pregnant with my now 6 year old daughter  after having sex ONE TIME  by my 6 week check up lol

You can conceive very soon after birth especially if you aren't breastfeeding. But it's really not recommended. It's best to wait at least 6 months to year after birth to ensure your body has fully recovered from previous birth. And if you are breastfeeding it just adds more stress to your body. Having babies is hard on your body.

My mom had my oldest sister in September, she apparently didn't wait long at all 😅 she conceived the same month she gave birth and had my other sister 9 months later in June. 👭

The mother in law conceived her daughter in the same month as she had her son (my husband). So yes it's possible. He is 9 months older than his sister
