I was 15 and I regret not having taken more care and time before losing my virginity. I was with the guy for 6 months at the time and "loved him". We lasted 18 months and he went to jail, cheated on me and was so incredibly rude and controlling during those 18 months. And none of these were even concerns of mine before we became intimate. I would suggest
holding off a little longer. There's so much you miss out on in a relationship once you introduce sex to it. Take your time and enjoy what comes first. After that, all of the excitement and butterflies fade and sex becomes the only way you know how to show affection to one another.

I think if you aren't 100% sure it's too soon. Like I regretted it so much cause I kinda only started having sex at 16 to keep the guy I was with. I thought I wanted to that it'd be fun and even enjoyed myself but it wasn't ever something I was proud of. I couldn't even talk to him about sex when it was him I was having sex with.  
but when it didn't work out and we broke up I didn't have a what did I mess up or why didn't he love me moment... I had an oh no what did I do moment. I felt broken and dirty.
