I miscarried on March 11th & stopped bleeding 8days later. We clearly had sex on the 21st and 24th. However I've noticed mild cramping plus a brown discharge. This predicts my AF starts on Monday but doc said AF should return 4-6 wks. What could this be?

Could either be residual tissue left over or it could be your period. Just keep an eye out.  Some women have their periods return sooner than 4-6 weeks. 
I miscarried on February 28th,bled for 2 weeks which included spotting at the end. My period just came yesterday. So everybody is different.

Did the doctor follow up with an ultrasound or hcg testing?

Everyone is different! I MC 6th Feb, had bleeding for a week then nothing for 6 weeks, just had my 1st period since the MC!
