She's here / scary birth story.

Miss Aubrey Elizabeth was born Monday March 21. 6 pounds 15 oz 19.5 inches.
I went in Sunday night to be induced. Broke my water at 8am started pitocin at 9. Epidural at 11. Fully dialed and thinned at 1:30. Started pushing at 2 she was here at 3:07.
Then all hell broke loose. My placenta wouldn't separate so my doctor had to go in after it. It was 100 times more painful then the birth. (I started to scream "please stop") This still did not work. I started to bleed very badly and the room started buzzing. The words D&C and historectomy were used. I was rushed to an OR my epidural was upped. (It had been turned down so I could push) the next couple hours were a blur. They had three doctors in there trying to get the placenta. Had to call in a surgeon with small hands to get the rest of it. I woke up when the blood transfusion started in a recovery room. So I didn't get to see my baby until she was about six hours old. I got to keep my uterus and I realized how wonderful my nurse and Doctor were.
The next morning my doctor and the anestieologist told me how I scared them. My blood pressure got so low that loosing a pulse was a concern.
