Will you be getting a flu shot this season?

I can't decide whether I want a flu shot or not this year. I'm 10 weeks and I know it would be really bad for me & baby if I did get the flu, but you hear SO MUCH negative information about getting the flu vaccine! I'm not sure what to do lol I'm going to ask my dr next week what she thinks, but in the meantime, I thought I would see what everyone else is doing.

This was my first ever flu shot, no side effects at all. When you're preggers they don't give you live flu virus and it's highly recommended because of your lowered immunity and how hard it can hit you. It's 100% your choice but it's not just you, you need to think about. Take your docs advise or ask other mums :)

I got the flu shot every year because of me working in the medical field so it was sort of mandatory but if it'll keep the baby from harm I'll get it (I hate needles on myself lol) the most I've ever gotten from a shot was like a 2 day cold other then that I have no problems.

Look at the cdc website, FDA.gov and NIH for accurate information on vaccinations. I am a nurse so obviously I'm pro vaccine but I've also seen the detrimental effects of people getting the flu and not getting the flu vaccine. The guidelines for us not getting a flu vaccine is to wear a mask because anyone's bodily fluids can pass the flu. So if you don't I recommend becoming a (sp?) germiphobe lol

I've never gotten a flu shot, and don't plan on it this year, even though I'm 19 weeks now. I'm a SAHM and we're kind of homebodies, so I don't see the point.
I got crap from my dr, though. She said if I get the flu she'd kick me in the shin. Lol

I got mine yesterday, I'm almost 15 weeks. I've never had the flu shot before and I am a SAHM as well. I was more worried about the few places I do go being the germiest of all- like the grocery store. I hate needles so I avoid shots at all costs. My arm feels a little sore today like I exercised a bunch, but other than that everything is good.
