Prenatal classes?!

Opinions on prenatal classes? I'm not sure it's something I'm interested in taking or something even worth taking....

My midwife told me with my first it was a preference whether or not to go. She said honestly tho, once you are in labor ylu are going to do what feels comfortable for you. Just go with it. And that is exactly what I did, went with it.

I would say first time mom, yes take them. I'm first time mom and it's a must! There is a lot that we dont know. And if you're worries about paying there are a lot of free classes available

We are doing a baby basics class. It is supposed to teach us general care for after birth. I thought this would be great especially for the husband. They are covering CPR, swaddling, bathing, etc. It's free at the hospital we will deliver at with a hospital tour

Yes, definitely. If you're an experienced mom then it might not be helpful. But there's a lot to know about giving birth, breastfeeding, and taking care of newborns, and it's not as intuitive as you might think. They teach you important stuff like how to avoid SIDS. My husband and I are looking forward to them.
