HSG Test anyone? HELP!!

Has anyone had the Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) procedure?? I'm supposed to have it but I'm really curious (and nervous) as to how it's performed, if it hurts, how long it takes? You know, the overall idea of it.

I had mine last month and I didn't have any blockages. It was mildly uncomfortable but not painful. I was totally fine immediately after. I took three ibuprofen before. I have read that it is really painful for some people and more so if they do find blockages so of course everyone is different. But it was no big deal for me!

I had an hsg & everything was ok I had no blockages. It only lasted a few minutes. I experienced mild period like cramping afterwards. I actually went to a county fair the next day so it didn't bother me too much. I googled it and scared myself to death. So please don't believe everything you read about it! I think if you are really nervous about it someone should go with you, I did feel a bit light headed afterwards. Would help to have some soda or a snack ready to eat after the test. (If you faint easy like I do) But the important thing to me was that 2 months later we were pregnant! Don't worry hon, you'll be fine! 😄

The roughest part was them threading in the catheter through the cervix. Was just briefly uncomfortable. Overall the test wasn't bad at all!!!! I went shopping after just fine. I would bring a panty liner as you make leak the dye after for a bit. Good luck!!! ❤️❤️❤️
