Pregnancy Symptom?

A friend of mine is expecting, this is her 2nd pregnancy - the first one sadly ended by miscarriage. She was telling me the first thing that tells her she's pregnant, with both her last and current pregnancy, is getting the hiccups? I've never heard of this symptom before... Is it a symptom?
