When did you start tummy time?

Question

Have any of you ladies started tummy time on your LO? If so at how many weeks? I haven't started tummy time yet, but I feel like I need to I'm scared that my baby will get flat spots on her head.

Little over a week old once his cord fell off. He loves it! He usually falls asleep.  His best tummy time is when he lays on my chest. He likes to lift his head and look around the room then.

I'm a pediatric PT so I probably do way more tummy time than most people but I started day 1. If they don't get used to it early, some babies hate it which makes it much harder. Sooner and more frequently is better! If they cry then try it on your chest and for shorter time periods. But you should shoot for at least 30 minutes of total tummy time a day by month 1. Good luck!

Started tummy time around 5 days old per my pediatrician. For a little bit now at a month old we do 3 mins again as instructed by our pediatrician

Our LO came out really strong and holding her head up so we've done tummy time since being home from the hospital. Most of the time it's just on out chests but we also do it on the floor randomly. She rolled over a few times in the first few weeks, then at 4 weeks she rolled over 4 times in a row so we know it wasn't a fluke. You can hold or wear the baby to also prevent a flat head.

I'm a first time mom and My little girl is a preemie and 5 weeks old. I started tummy time today but only for a a minute or two because I was really nervous! 😁 she wasn't able to keep her said to one side, she kept it downward which of course freaked me out. Is this something I should expect in the beginning and to keep working with her?? I would appreciate any suggestions or advice!

I started first day home from hospital. He loves tummy time!!! Prefers it over laying on his back!

When we do tummy time, she is propped up on the boppy. We have done it flat on the floor before but she likes the boppy because she can lift her head higher and see around better

I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and know all the tricks.  Unfortunately they don't work.  Our baby has reflux so we've had a real hard time.  We started trying this at 1-2 weeks.  I've had to do it on my chest mostly. She is now 8 weeks and we get 5-10 min on the floor because we have had to time it just right (before feeds) to avoid full on vomiting.  The only thing I haven't used yet is a ball.  That can help.  Definitely try to start and gradually work up to the time you need to do if you have to.

I started tummy time at 5 weeks old but only for about 2 to 5 minutes... My baby was full term I try to give him tummy time once a day while awake for just a few minutes as stated before
