Opinions about pumping?

What are your opinions about pumping to get contractions going? Is it bad
To pump your breast before the baby? Any advice would be helpful :)

My doctor suggested it too. Just don't save anything that you pump right now is what I hear..

I tried it. I did it for four days. Twice a day , 20 minutes on each boob. Didn't work for me :(

I've been doing it for the last two days, about to do it again. It causes some serious contractions for me but they are super inconsistent and eventually taper off. At least I'm having SOME contractions though because I'm not dilating at all, so we will see on Friday if the pumping/contractions has helped me dilate.

I do it helps but shes in there good lol i pump 15 min each side 2x a day with an hour break which gives me about an hour of contractions... im due april 21 i freeze it

I only did it once my water had broken and I was in the hospital waiting for contractions to start lol. It took three tries of doing 10 mins every hour with a 2 hour break in between to finally get the consistent contractions.

I tried nipples stimulation and had contractions about 20 minutes later. Nothing strong or consistent enough for actual labor but maybe after doing it for a few days I heard it can cause you to go into labor
