How fast did everyone dilate?

Question

Went in yesterday for 37 weeks and not dilated at all.  I would love to get something going... As of last week he was 7.5 lbs.  how fast did everyone dilate?  Any tips?:)

I decline all internal exams because some women can dilate gradually for a month and others can literally dilate over night so I am saving myself the discomfort and excitement/disappointment. Plus in my opinion I think this can be used as a tool to push induction. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow. Whenever he's ready he'll come 😊

I was 0% effaced and totally closed at 37.5 weeks when I got checked a week ago.. I go in again today and hoping to see some progress! I know it can go really fast all at once but u just want to hear that ur progressing anyways and there's a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!😂🙏🏻

I'm 38 weeks and 3 days and I'm dilated to a 3 and 75% thinned out... Ready to meet this baby boy!! Hoping to go into labor soon!!

I was at a 1 at 36 weeks. 1.5 at 37 and still 1.5 now at 38. My doc said if I can get dilated a little more by Friday she'll schedule me for induction at 39+2. Fingers crossed. I'm just gonna go bounce on a ball and walk 500 miles. Lol

With my first I didn't dilate to a full 1 till 40 weeks and still went over, Dr had to stretch me to make me contract. This baby I was 36 weeks and only .5 last Thursday....go this Thursday for another check...I hope I have dilated to at least 1-1.5 :( ultrasound tech says baby is 6 pounds and a few ounces so by delivery could be 8-9lbs....I really don't want a big baby :( I want a tiny baby girl. Sigh. But as long as baby is healthy that is what is important

I was induced at 36 weeks and when they checked me then I was 1cm

I was 2cm at 36 weeks and stayed that way until 39 and then I was just 2 and a half cm lol

I was 3 cm at 36 weeks. Today at 38, 3 1/2. Why even mention half a centimeter?! Ugh.
70% effaced though. That is the first time in 2 pregnancies anyone has mentioned effacement to me.

I wasn't dilated at all until labor started.
