How long do you plan on staying inside?

Once baby is born how long will you wait to go out and about will you wait the recommended 6 to 8 weeks, or will you go out righr away? Just curious. I know there is no way im staying coped up for weeks. We will be out and about as soon as im all healed with my son we were out shopping when he was 4 days old and back at church at 6 days old but didnt let anyone hold him or get in his face.
