My period is super heavy on days 2 and 3. I use super plus and have to change every 2 hours. My doctor suggested taking Advil every 4 hours during those days. I have been taking the Advil for the past few years and it does work. If you don't take it every four hours you will notice!

Maybe I need to try that on my heavier days.

You should have your Dr check for fibroids. I had very heavy period and it turned out to be fibroids which was causing the heavy bleeding.

There are options for you like the Mirena, an IUD for women with menorraghia who aren't ready to have a hysterectomy yet. You should definitely see your doctor and a gynaecologist. I would also recommend getting a menstrual cup, they will collect your flow better than tampons and allow you less anxiety about flooding, and more freedom. The cup allows more time in between changes and less chances of leakage. I can even sleep through most nights with a menstrual cup.

Heavy periods should most definitely be checked out by a doctor.

That happens to me too, and sometimes it's worse. I have to change my pad like... Every half an hour, crazy! It's a little bit annoying, but I've had my period like that for almost 5 years and for me everything is okay, I told my gyn about it too and she's said that this is normal for some women. So... Don't worry too much :)

How many days do you have to so this? For your whole period?
