Anyone have to get a shot to stop contractions?

Hi just wondering if anyone has some inside info on this topic. I was 35 weeks pregnant yesterday and had to receive a shot to stop contractions. I felt crampy and some pressure on pelvic over Easter weekend. Went to Dr. They said i was thinning out and gave me the shot. Did this happen to any of you ladies? If so how long after did you deliver?

I'm 32wks and my baby boy has completely dropped and I'm dilated to a 1 and the edges are starting to soften my doctor said if I keep having contractions as much as I have been hell have to give me some thing I had gotten it though with my last baby at 22wks cuz I fell down the stairs which caused me to contract and they stopped it and didn't have her till 39wks

I just went through this 2 days ago at 33w5d, my baby girl is at station zero but only dilated to a 1, I was having contractions every 6 minutes, I had to have 2 shots of brethine and a bag of fluids to get them stopped 😕 currently at home on modified bed rest

Yes, was in the hospital last night for 4 hrs.. they gave me 3 shots of terbutaline.. but I still have one every 8-9 mins when it wears off.. but cervix still high and closed at 35.5 weeks.. so they sent me home

I've had that shot twice so far. Once at 18 weeks and one yesterday at 32 weeks. Hoping she stays in at least a few weeks longer!

My sister had contractions around the same time. They gave her the shot and she was induced at 41 weeks because my nephew was not coming out on his own

I get a shot once a week because my other 2 babies were born prematurely. & the shots I get once a week are hormone shots to help strengthen the baby organs in case he has to come early. I had them with my other 2 babies. Maybe it's the same shot.

Anyone have to get a shot to stop contractions?
