Pineapple...does it work?

I hear so many stories about eating fresh pineapple and going into labor shortly after. Anyone out there have any luck?

I've been eating whole pinapples my entire pregnancy, I'm 37 weeks and no sign of labor I'm pretty sure you have to eat about 7-8 whole pinapples for it to send you into labor

I think you do have to eat a lot to cause contractions but I've read eating it daily helps ripen cervix
