Er doctors always sent me home n said to take Tylenol n that it was nothing. That drove me more crazy than them running tests(which they never really did). Finally found a good gyno who helped me :)

I have a very good obgyn but he is a bit older and believes in conservative methods. My husband and I tried for two years- 7 months of it with clomid and had one miscarriage. I finally decided to go and see a fertility endocrinologist. She's amazing. She suggested a laparoscopy right away. Just had it yesterday actually. I'm hoping that this helps

I wasn't taken seriously. My Dr. Pawned me off on other physician to give me a pelvic exam, and an ultra sound. As he explained to me what was going to happen he visibly rolled his eyes and sighed like o was wasting his time. And then the ultrasound tech acted as if I was overreacting. Five years later, the military Dr.s have been amazing to me. Understanding and empathetic, and willing to listen to what I have to say and giving me choices. Thank goodness. ?

It took me 2 years to finally find a Gyno who saw my ultrasounds, reports and tests to finally book me in for a laproscopy. To finally find out I had stage 4 endo and a 7cm endometrioma cyst on my left ovary! Some 'doctors' are absolutely hopeless! Went through 2 years of crap with this 'doctor' who would beat around the bush. Then finally had enough and my now amazing gyno, within a week of meeting with him, had me in for surgery to remove it all!! He had an 18 month waiting list too! Can't thank him enough for pushing me way up the waiting list!

Had to go to the emergency room they got ao bad i couldn't stand or walk or move... i was in a ball crying my eyes out and the stupid nurse goes "you're on your period. It's just cramps" and rolled her eyes at me while i was on my MORPHINE drip.. when they dont get it or insult you like it's not as big as you know it is... it's so aggravating. ?

My OBGYN took me seriously, but the ER doctor rolled his eyes and me and sent me home with orders to take Aleve.

Hey there! 
I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 20 years old. Growing up I always experienced sharp stabbing pains in my uterus. I'm talking when I was 5 I would fall on the ground screaming and no one could figure out why. I was actually hospitalized at 7 because the pain would get so bad (I'd frequently get severe constipation along with the stabbing pains). The doctor ruled it as "there's a new baby at home, she's just jealous all mommy's attention isn't on her". I continued experiencing this pain all the time until I was diagnosed. Fast forward to me being 20 years old, my partner is in the military and was on a field exercise for 2 months. I had this sharp stabbing pain in my lower back. I thought it was just from work. The pain just kept increasing.. it got so bad I went to lay in bed and was in fetal position screaming. It was all in my back like something exploded inside me. I was in a pool of sweat and couldn't sleep at all. I ended up in emerge; and again - nothing is wrong. I personally thought it was my kidneys. I demanded more tests. They found a 4.5 cm cyst on my ovary that burst. Went into emergency surgery and that's when they also found the endometriosis  (which wasn't visible on any other test).

It took me ten years of pain and back and forward to drs to get diagnosed. I had to beg for a lap and the surgeon beforehand told me he wouldn't find anything and I needed to see a mental health professional. Funnily enough he'd gone home by the time I awoke from surgery, my case was so bad he wasn't even skilled enough to operate. Luckily I have an absolutely amazing gynae now, we've even been on local radio together talking about endometriosis! I have a very severe case and almost needed an emergency hysterectomy during my last op so unfortunately I can't have any more surgery until I am ready to take that risk.

I was very lucky. I spoke to a female dr about ttc for 12 months with no luck since coming off the pill 12 months earlier. I'd also mentioned that over the past few months is been getting more pain. She picked that it was endo right away. She did a few basic tests to rule out other things and then referred me to a FS. Sadly the first / FS's I saw were horrid but it got sorted very quickly.
