Neglectful hospital
The hospital in the small town I live in will be hearing an earful from my mom if I end up having an infection!! I normally go to a smaller hospital 40 miles away to see the doctor I want, but they can't do anything for me and my premature labor until 36 weeks. I went up to the ER in my hometown on the 20th because my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and my urine came back with protein, double the allowed white blood cell count, high red blood cell count, and bacteria. They didn't say anything to me, didn't put me on antibiotics, and didn't do a repeat test when I had to go back 6 days later. My contractions on the 26th were 90 seconds long and 90 seconds apart. After 4 bags of fluids and 120 ounces of ice water, I was sent home the next day. They didn't monitor my urine output like they were supposed to either. I brought it up that my pee was still really dark right before leaving and the nurse said all was fine. The only reason I found out about my urine test was because I signed up online to view my records. I went and peed in a cup at my general doctor's office and explained everything. If I have a kidney infection or a UTI, that could explain my constant contractions and maybe we can get them to stop with antibiotics. Apparently I'm not the only one that has had issues with the hospital neglecting basic duties. The other pregnant lady lost her baby because they missed an infection. I can't wait for answers and to possibly feel better!! I'm only 35 weeks and constantly in pain and I'm seriously considering having my repeat c-section on the 4th because I'm hurting so bad. If they can find an answer for me and help me feel better so I can carry her as long as possible, then I will be forever grateful!!
