Late period....

Hi, I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. I've been with my boyfriend for all four years. Up until this school year my periods were very irregular, however they are mostly regular now. I'm now 20 days late... My boyfriend wants me to take a pregnancy test. I'm just too afraid to actually do it. I'm looking for advice on what to do. Please help!
