Should I be concerned?

I live with my BF. As in every relationship, we have problems and we fix them. I'm worried cause I have had dreams with another guy (no intimate dreams). This guy is 12 years older than me. We text sometimes, especially one time when me and my boyfriend were angry for a few weeks. Yesterday, I met this guy for coffee.  Nothing happened at all. He always reinforce that we are friends. 
What are your thoughts about this?

I think that if you're hiding it from your BF , it's wrong. If he knows and it's fine with it then there's nothing wrong with it.

Are u hiding it? If so, how would u feel if u caught him doing the same? If he knows and doesn't care then that's fine as long as neither of u try anything that could hurt ur relationship

When u said u text him especially when u and ur BF are fighting it sounds to me like u look to him for comfort instead of talking it out with ur boyfriend. 
If he doesn't know about it then it's clearly an issue.

U need to put urself in his shoes. How wud u feel of when u guys argued he text another girl? I don't think anything is wrong with male friends but ur approach is fishy in my honest opinion. If u go to opposite sex when u have problems then seems like u have a foot out the door. To me atleast. I would b don't if I found out bout this. So maybe if u want to b friends with this guy talk to ur SO n keep u n ur SO stuff between u n ur SO. But Friends shouldn't b a secret
