Help baby wont sleep

Omg! ! My babygirl will not sleep unless she is being carried!! Every time I lay her down in her bassinet she wakes up and will start screaming her head off!! I'm so tired of the crying (yes I know it sounds mean but I really am) I don't know what else to do. . I can't carry her all the time. And I don't want to have her in bed with me cause I'm scared she'll fall off or she'll be smothered by the blankets..
