Hospital length of stay?

Lets say delivery goes fine but if your a first time mom about how long do they usually have you stay at the hospital?

I think it depends on hospital and your delivery. My hospital has. 24 hour stay for vaginal births and 96 hour stay for c sections. Obviously it all depends on if there was any complications, etc.

Where I live they keep you 48 hours for vaginal birth but my oldest was born at 11pm so I had to stay another night because they wouldn't discharge me in the middle of the night

I think it depends where u r. Had my first in London and it was only 1 night included in my package, whereas here in Dubai the package included 2 nights and if u deliver after 11pm it doesn't count as ur first night so I ended up being there 3 nights. 
I always thot I'd wanna stay in hosp as long as possible but once I was there I desperately wanted to go home, I just got so sick of the hospital and staying in one room in the same bed...it all depends on ur situation but a lot of ppl even just stay one night...

I was in the hospital a total of five days including when I arrived. I had my son on Sunday and went home on Wednesday.

At the hospital that I'm planning to deliver at its a mandatory 48 hours for vaginal delivery and a mandatory 72 hours for csection. If you want to opt out of medical care and leave early you can I'm sure, but they will not release your baby until 48 hours has passed. I think these things depend on the hospital.

I had a completely natural delivery with my first, no complications at all. Had him Wednesday afternoon and went home Saturday morning.
