Gestational diabetes.

Chelsie
Any mommies only 14 weeks have gestational diabetes? This is my second pregnancy and I had it with my first but not as bad. They tested me early this pregnancy and I've been struggling to keep my sugar under control. I did the controlled diet and as I got further along it got harder to keep my numbers low, I practically had to eat snacks all day to get in the range I needed to be in. I exercised and did everything. As of today I am now on insulin, 3 shots a day. I can already feel the difference, more energy, I feel happy and don't feel sick like I did before. . But though I feel the difference and see the difference in my numbers I feel like I let myself and my baby down. I feel like I could have done more and I wouldn't of had to go on insulin. I know in the long run it is probably the better route for me and my baby. But I almost feel a little depressed and that I didn't do enough. . I just had to rant a little. But has anyone else gone through this? I could really use some others opinion or similar stories. Maybe help me get through what I'm feeling. Tia.
