The tech seemed pretty certain, but we aren't that far along so I'm just wondering… Will be getting another ultrasound in 4 weeks to confirm.

Since you are only 12 weeks I wouldn't be buying anything blue just yet. I have never heard of a tech guessing gender before 14 weeks.
