can you cheat but still love your partner?

Can you cheat but still love your significant other? I don't condone this behaviour but my friends and I were discussing and was interested to see different views. I had a male friend tell me that he had cheated on his wife but still loves her.

What are your thoughts on this?

If you really loved someone you wouldn't even have it in you to cheat, the feelings you would feel for them wouldn't be true love

Absolutely not. When you're in love with someone you can't imagine your life without them. The person you love should be everything you need and more...if you have to find happiness somewhere else, then you're not truly in love

I believe some people cheat to stay together ( I know that sound weird) but human curiosity crazy so if you've been together awhile you or your partner is curios about sex with someone else then I say if no feelings are involved , go for it . I would let my bf have sex with another female if that meant it would save our relationship and he would let me do the same . We're just a little bit more open minded and focused on the long term rather than short term . Better than it being behind your back . It hasn't happened like that yet but I love him none the less and he loves me the same

Nope. I think it's more that they love the idea of being in love....they like having that one steady person to be with and come back to even though they cheat on them. They don't love the person though. If they did, cheating would never even cross their minds. They're selfish and love getting what they want and getting away with it.

No. If I'm in a relationship and the jerk has the audacity to tell me that cheating on me was a mistake, and that he'll never do it again, and that he still loves me and he felt nothing when he was with her, I'd go crazy in 1.2 seconds. First of all, cheating is never accidental. You just don't fall in a vagina tbh. Second of all, as soon as a person cheats on you they were thinking romantically or sexually about another person. You were out of their mind long enough for them to have their arms around another girl. Finally, if he says he didn't feel anything that's not only disrespectful to me but also to the other girl. I'll be damned before I take back someone who cheated on me. My mom didn't raise no fool, maybe a psycho, but I won't allow anyone to take advantage of me like that.

Yes . TBH I have cheated once   or twice 😖 or 3 times nd you kno what karma bit me right n the pussy  I got chhylimida!! 😞I felt so disgusted  with myself I had to tell my boyfriend that I had it !!  I played the part and told him I must of had it  b4 I got w him... So I learned my lesson stay true to just one person
