Kadence birth story
First of this is my second pregnancy going vaginal.
I was supposed to be schedule for an induction at 7am on Monday the 29 of March. This would be at exactly 41 weeks pregnant. On my induction day Around 3am I was having a bad nightmare that I was in so much pain. Lol hahaha I wake up only to find out I really was in pain. I go to the restroom and sure enough I had the bloody show and the pain was getting stronger. So I wake up my husband and tell him, "I don't think we will be waiting for the induction, she is ready now". We arrived at the hospital at 5am and I am told that I am 5cm. I request for epidural. Well the doctor is in surgery and has 2 other C-sections he has to attend before coming to me. By the time I received the epidural I was already 7 almost 8cm. Well the dose they gave me for some reason was not strong enough but strong enough to just take the edge of the pain. About 7hrs later my water breaks at 9cm. I am feeling so much pressure to push. Well I have to wait because the baby hasn't dropped enough for me to push. Around 330pm (10hrs after admission) I start screaming because I can't hold it and I need to push. The nurse checks me and has me push once to see if I am ready. Of course baby drops and she goes gets the doctor. Well as soon as the doctor comes in he says, "are you ready or do you think I can go out in an order before we have this baby?". Next thing you know I am pushing and the nurse just says, "Doctor the head is out". The doctor quickly puts his gloves and prepares himself. Well my second push and baby comes out but the doctor tells me to not push as the umbilical cord is wrapped around my daughters arms. He had to immediately cut the umbilical off her arms becUse I couldn't stop pushing. Baby came out perfect with just 2 big pushes. Was in labor for a total of 13hrs.
