Did you pay out of pocket for an ultrasound to learn the gender or did you wait for your doctor's appointment?

My OB has always done an ultrasound at every appointment, no matter what. With my son i was not high risk and my OB told me boy at 14 weeks (and was 100% correct).
This pregnancy i am high risk, i have an ultrasound done once a week, since 4 weeks pregnant. I was told girl at 15 and a half weeks. Currently 32.3 and i see my baby girl every single week on ultrasound,  and she is still a girl 😄 
Babies genitals are formed before 20 weeks, the 20 week scan is not at 20 weeks so they can tell you the gender. Its called a morphology screening and its a vital check up half way through pregnancy.  They tell you the gender at that time because thats one of very few ultrasounds for most woman.

First pregnancy we waiting for the doctor. This time I'm not supposed to get my first ultrasound until about 20 weeks so I think we will be paying out of pocket and going somewhere to find out the gender this time. I'm impatient and also don't want to wait that long to see my little peanut.

First pregnancy in 2013 I didn't know u could have an ultrasound early so I waited till I was 20 weeks; to find out I was having a boy!!

This one I paid 60 out of pocket at 15 weeks 5 days to find out I was having a little girl. 21 weeks it was confirmed!!

I found out at 15 weeks at a private US place called First Peak! It was only $65! I was told at that point it was 97.3% accurate!! I'm 33w now and he's still a boy!💙

If it wasn't for my insurance my anatomy/gender ultrasound would've been 600$ and it covered all but 85$ out of it so I was soooo freaking happy lol

I'm doing the blood/genetic testing. Well I actually already did it, I'm just waiting on the results.
