Is it ok to give your 9 week old a bath daily? Or every other day better?

I bathe my children daily. My daughters dermatologist suggests baths every day with eucerine lotion within 3 minutes of getting out to lock in moisture. Like 5 years ago it was only recommend to bathe a child with eczema only once a week but studies show bathing more often and putting on lotion immediately actually do a lot more good for the skin. It's a myth that water dries out skin. The soaps most people use are drying, it's not actually the water. Using aquaphor 2 in 1 baby shampoo and body wash is what my daughters dermatologist recommends.

My son had a bath every 3 days with some baby lotion. Then just did a bed side wash with clothes to keep him clean.

Children under a year only need a bath once a week unless there's physical dirt on them. Bathing too much dries out their skin. But it's not going to harm them if you bathe them more than that. My baby is 3 months old and gets a bath once a week with wipe downs in between.

We bathed when necessary or a couple times a week. They don't get super dirty and their skin is so sensitive and can easily dry out. It depends on the season for me as well. My winter baby got bathed less than my summer baby because the air was naturally drier and so was his skin.

9 weeks is basically 3 months so yeah you can bathe your baby every night-as it's your decision. :)

Why wouldn't it be ok??? It's so weird here they tell you can't bathe your child until a certain time and I have a 12yr old boy and nothing ever happens to him cause I bathe him every day🙄. Specially if he is already 2 months!!

I've been bathing my daughter every other day since she was 4wks old. I use moisturizing bodywash and lots of lotion post bath. Its our nighttime ritual. Bath at 7 then bottle then bed by 8. She usually sleeps until at least 5a. Now that she's almost 5 months and can sit up sometimes I put her in the water every day just to let her splash and play!
