Cramping during early pregnancy?

Question

How do I know when the cramping is something to be concerned with? They aren't too bad to where I can't move but they're noticeable. Sometimes they're in my lower stomach or in the middle and sometimes they're on the side of my stomach. Is this normal? When is it not normal?

I had a ton of cramps at the beginning. Like before I knew I was pregnant I was convinced I was about to get my period because I was having period cramps so bad. But I never got my period & was pregnant! I think cramps become something to worry about if they are accompanied with blood or it the are extreme! Like way more then period cramps. But if you're ever super nervous & think something's wrong go to the ER! I did & everything was fine but you never know! Good luck 👶🏼💕

I am 16 weeks and I had cramping up until about 10 weeks. It was pretty bad at times so I went in and talked to my dr he sent me for an early ultrasound and everything was fine. I lost my first pregnancy at 7 weeks and I only had back pain a day or two before. This time I have had back pain and cramping the whole time! The back pain seems to have subsided since my uterus moved up past my pubic bone. I know it is scary, if you are that worried go to the dr, it will make you feel better. 💜💜

It's normal unless there's bleeding (call doc ASAP), or other symptoms such as fainting or severe pain.

I'm just over 13 weeks and have had cramping off and on since 5 weeks.... the uterus grows at a rapid rate during early pregnancy and especially with your first.... your uterus has never stretched this buf before, there's bound to be some crampy pains.  Don't worry unless it's unbearable or you have bleeding associated. ☺ Hope this helps.

This is my first pregnancy. I'm at 5 weeks. All I can say is I've had a little abdominal pain yesterday. And some very slight cramping lately (from a growing uterus). Makes sense since the dr said my uterus is the size for 7-8 weeks...
