Question About Nursing???
Okay so for months now I've really really REALLY wanted to go back to school, but I'm waiting until my daughter is born and we establish a new schedule because I have a one year old son as well lol.
I was interested in Health Education, but everyone I talked to said to go for teaching and teach health, which seems somewhat for me because I do want to work with youth. Last night I was looking stuff up again and came across a site that talked about Health Education and also being a Public Nurse. Being a Public Nurse actually sounded more like what I wanted, being able to help and educate not just youth but adults and being able to work within my community.
I got extremely confused though because then community health popped up, and people were trying to define the difference between public health and community health nursing. If you could help better define please do lol. My question though is, obviously I'd have to go and get a degree in nursing before I could become a Public health nurse as it even said in all the articles I read, so do I need to take courses in Health Education....how does that all work?
And if you happen to do this job what exactly do you do? So I have a better understanding, and not just written summaries of it and then go for something I honestly thought was something else. Please and thank you, sorry for such a long post :)
