What could be going on?

So this may be TMI and I'm sorry in advance. So my husband and I had sex a few times last week, well Monday evening when I went to the bathroom, I wiped and there was a reddish/brown discharge on it, just thought AF was coming earlier than expected, not supposed to be here till 4/2, and thought I'd just check when I went pee later. well rest of the night there was nothing! Yesterday I had what I guess was AF, but it was very light and generally my first day is very heavy. It was enough to need a panty liner but not a tampon. So I went to bed and in the middle of the night last night I woke up to go pee and noticed my underwear were covered in blood! Today it's been enough to need a tampon but close to normal period amount. But my period has always been on target give or take a day sooner or later, but never this early. Is this just AF missing me it came early? Or what else could this be?
