What is your thoughts on medicinal marijuana?

Today is voting day in Florida and the legalization of medical marijuana is number 2 on the ballot. What are your thoughts and opinions on this matter?

For me, I agree. I know too many people that have become unintentionally addicted to pain medicine after a doctor has prescribed them. So why not let people medicate with something that is natural and herbal without having to face criminal charges?

I live in Alabama and I completely support smoking weed. Marijuana has had a history of decreasing the size of cancer tumors, allowing people to gain their appetite back that are on other medication with that negative side effect, and just making people happier and livelier. I will admit, if you consume it on a daily basis you will be much calmer and sometimes sleepier than usual, but that is the only negative side effect I've experienced.

I think you should use it when you want, and how you want. Whether it's for medical reasons or to just get high.

I understand it's use in certain situations/medical conditions, but I think it needs to be regulated better. Too many people use it for "medical reasons" that are really just excuses to get a med card.

I live in New Orleans, and battled myself with cervical cancer. I completely support the benefits of marijuana because there are so many. When eating, sleeping, or living on total pain are too much, trust me you'd be begging for it. There is no evidence that a person can overdose from it, why not. Compared to other things people are smoking now, please pass the weed! Beside my own personal experiences from it, i saw a 10 yr old boy who suffered severely from seizures. This child had no life bc of the harsh meds he had to take, marijuana in a liquid form was a miracle for him too. A few drops placed under the boys tongue allowed him to have a personality that the pills took away. I strongly suppor medical marijuana and anything else natural that would give sick children their lives back.

I'm voting yes!! My brother has epilepsy and it helps him sooooo much more that his pills. The pills turn him into a zombie. The weed makes him function and excel at his job as a musician without seizures.

I think that marijuana should be as legal as alcohol is. Too many people are profiting off sick patients who actually need it. Arrests will be made regardless. Especially in Florida where the biggest part of their revenue is putting people in jail.

Completely pro cannabis however to the anyone that doesnt like the sleepiness try switching to Sativa then :) thats whats recommended to take during theday as well and Indicas for night time use, or some hybrids or edibles instead. Unless you have to stick to either or, in which i say good luck and be careful!

I'm for it, there are so many benefits of MMJ. You also do not have to only smoke it. You can cook with it, apply it topically. I'm from Washington where it is legel and know many people who have benefited from it.
