Try not to worry too much. I know easier said than done. I too had a similar ultrasound and one week later seen the heartbeat! Prayers to you!

Did they say that it was consistent with your dates? I would say it would be correct, the gestational sac is visible at 5 weeks.
 
Baby is very tiny at this stage, so it may not be visible yet. We saw a fetal pole at 5 weeks 6 days with my second Bub. No heartbeat visualised until my 7 week scan.

Mine at 5w5d measuring 5w3d...no sign of baby...just sac and yolk sac and they said it's completely normal this early to only see what we're seeing.

I went today at 6 wks 1 day and mine looks the same. Only yolk sac praying it is only still early.
