High bp

I was recently put on a high blood pressure pill because my blood pressure is border line high and they wanted to control it before it got high. But I don't have bacteria in my urine, swelling or any other sign of preclampsia. Has anybody else had high blood pressure during pregnancy that didn't result in preclampsia or am I bound to have it?
