Can I name my babe after me ??

So if me and other half where to have had a boy we would have called him after him. We r exspecting a girl in July and really stuck for names??? My name Madeline but I love the name maddie. Would it be so crazy to name her after me ? Just maddie tho ?

It's your baby name her what you like. Thats what i say! I never judge baby names. They have been picked because that name meant something to mum and dad. :)

My aunt named her baby girl a different spelling of Briggetta after herself. I think there is nothing wrong with that in your case.

My sisters name is Amanda & she named her daughter Amanda... So now theres Amanda & baby Amanda. 1) Very confusing
2) Kid will always be "baby Amanda" or "little Amanda"
3) Every time someone hears about it, they look at her like she has 2 heads
My husband also has cousins named Debbie & "little" Debbie. Cute, but "little" Debbie is now in her 30's and all I think of is a child when I hear her name. Also very confusing because if he mentions Debbie, I have to ask "big Debbie or little Debbie?"
Also knew another girl named Amanda that named her dog Mandy (her own nickname). ALSO very confusing.
All of these examples have done nothing but make me go 😒 every time I hear them. I'm not a fan at all.
