extremely heavy bleeding

this is my second period post birth control. i was on the implant for 6 years (two different ones of the same thing) and then three months of seasonique. my insurance changed (thanks obamacare) and my pills weren't covered for that brand it only covers monthly birth control. before i was on birth control my cycles were really heavy but i cant remember if it was this heavy. no chance of a miscarriage happening as i haven't had sex and was blood tested for pregnancy because i had to have a hida scan on my gallbladder and they have to make sure. so my question is do you think this is normal coming off hormones or should i call the doctor? going through a super tampon in 3 hours.
