Not weird but black tends to be slimming. And the whole point if maternity photos is to show off you're pregnant.

I would accentuate your belly with some bright ribbons tied in a bow.

My friend wore black, and made her hubby wear black and you could barely tell she was pregnant in the pictures. If you wear black, I'd add color and get your partner to wear color as well.

Nope! I do photography and I had someone wear a cute black dress. They pictures turned out great :)
