When did you find out the gender & how?

3.29.16 made 11 weeks and here he/she is! My next appointment is on 4.26.16. I'll 15 weeks, is that kinda long for an next appointment?? My OB should be able to tell me the gender by or around that time I go in right? Hubby is positive it's a boy, what do you think?

I'm jealous. My first ultrasound isn't until 20 weeks 😩😭😭😭😭

I had my first ultrasound for dating scan at 9 weeks. My next appointment ill be 13 weeks 1 days and I won't have an ultrasound. Won't have another ultrasound until around 20 weeks, which is when I'll find out gender. I have appointments every 4-ish weeks until I'm closer to my due date then they'll be 2 weeks apart. So, the time between appointments is normal.

Your only suppose to have an appointment every 4 weeks unless there are problems so you next appointment is right on. And I found out the gender at 20 weeks most Dr's don't do them before that. You can pay out of pocket and go somewhere else and see what it is but usually not until around 15 weeks but that's usually 200 or more so I think it's worth it to wait. It sucks but you will eventually find out and still have plenty of time before the baby is born

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks and my next one isn't until week 20!! I am so imapatient, but since ultrasounds are pretty pricey, most GYNs don't do them too often. Depends on your insurance I think. However, there are places you can go that offer ultrasound packages for a pretty affordable costs if you can't wait that long. I'm currently at week 12 and I don't know if I can wait another 8 weeks to find out!

I was 15 weeks 5 days when I had the gender told to me with my daughter and they were accurate. My ultrasounds have been scheduled at 7 weeks, 20 weeks, and 36 weeks. Otherwise I just have the Doppler and checks with my doctor. It's not abnormal to have ultrasounds or appointments spaced out that way. If I wanted to do a gender reveal "early" I'd have to pay out of pocket for one at 16 weeks. Every doctor is different!
