Friend with benefit

I've had a friend with benefits for a year and two months & we never really argue or have disagreements. I'm just not interested in it no longer. I tried to breakup with him and end all communication but he insist on us solving and fixing our problems because he doesn't want me to leave and out of his life. He never shows any emotion so I'm totally surprised that he's putting up a fight to keep me around. Does he has feelings or he just wanna keep me around for sex? By the way we really don't have that much sex I'll say twice every month.
